Run 5k in 6 weeks- Week one, day one

Hello everyone,
 
Over the next 6 weeks I am doing the run 5k in 6 week challenge. Each day I will post that days requirements and some fitness tips that I have.
 
Week one- day one-
 
Workout time: 24 minutes
 
Warm up-
Spend five minutes walking and stretching,
 
Workout-
run for one minute and then walk for one minute, repeat this 7 times
 
Cool down-
spend another five minutes walking and stretching
 
 
Fitness tip of the day: Find a workout buddy to help make working out more enjoyable.
